Marpa Lotsawa Choekyi Lodoe
He was born in 1012 in Lhodrag. His father‘s name was Wangchuk Oser and his mother’s name was Gyalmo Tso.
He began to train himself as a translator from the age of fifteen. He spent twenty three years in India and Nepal, visiting India three times and Nepal four times.
He went to Mahapandit Naropa, Maitripa and over one hundred other masters.
He received the oral instructions for Guhasamaja and Anyogtara Yoga of both father and mother tantras, and studied the practice.
He died in 1097 at the age of eighty five.
