26th Kagyu Monlam Chenmo, Volunteers application ready to go!

Wherever Dream Flags fly, you and I will be there.

Remember at the end of winter, 2007, in Bodhgaya, India, the solemn place where Buddha attained enlightenment, we felt profoundly blessed from H.H Gyalwang Karmapa and deeply impressed by his kind offering of such special and beneficial volunteer positions. During the Monlam period, exhaustion, annoyance as well as achievement and joyfulness, through the blessings of H.H Karmapa, precious Rinpoches and sanghas, dissolved into the starry skies of India and transformed into nectar showering the whole world.

May our world enjoy peace. May all human beings be free from war, fear, sorrow and dread.

The Kagyu Monlam in 2009, with the blessing of H.H Karmapa, the holy opportunities of devotion for all human beings will be available to all of us. For world peace, let us gather together, sharing the bright moonlight in the sacred place, dedicating ourselves for peace and happiness throughout the world.

26th Kagyu Monlam Chenmo, Volunteer Groups and Description

<A> Meal Preparing Group
1)Volunteer required：approximately 14 personsFULL
2)Description：including all kitchen work
3)Schedule meeting time：8:00 AM (breakfast will not be included)
4)Volunteer time：8:00 AM - 1:30 PM
5)Place：Tergar Monastry
6)Meal time：Not determined. Depending on Sangha's exact meal schedule of a day

<B>Food serving group
1)Volunteer required：10 persons FULL
2)Description：serve food to sanghas
3)Schedule meeting time：10:00 AM
4)Volunteer time：10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (approximately)
5)Place：Tergar Monastry
6)Process Flow：

<C> Bowl washing group
1)Volunteer required：30 persons
2)Description：wash bowls and cleaning the dining room
3)Schedule meeting time：12:30 AM - 1:00 PM ( lunch will not be included)
4)Volunteer time：as long as all cleaning work is finished
5)Place：Tergar monastry
6)Process Flow：Volunteers will be broken into 2 groups

<D>Seat preparing group
1)Volunteer required：50 persons
2)Description：seats prepare
3)Schedule meeting time：4:00 AM
4)Volunteer time：4:00 AM - 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM - 5:30PM
5)Place：Mahabodhi Temple
6)Process Flow：

a.Meet together in early morning at 4 AM.Preparing seats for Sangha.
b.After Monal Chenmo at 5:PM, collect all cusions and place them in proper place.
c.Assist in placing name cards of Sanghas.

<E>Environmental protecting group
1)Volunteer required：40 persons
2)Description：

a.Volunteers meet 40 mins before each section of Monlam Chenmo.
b.All volunteers meets at 5:00pm to receive each day's duty.

<F>Mendicant assisting group
1)Volunteer required：

a)guardian: 200 persons
b)transportation: 80 persons
c)devotion organization: 80 persons

1)Please be on time as scheduled every day.
2)All volunteers should participate through all proceedings Those that can't, please do not volunteer.
3)We approciate all those volunteered during kagyu Monlam Chenmo.
4)In order for the Kagyu Monlam to proceed smoothly, we ask that all volunteers for your cooperation.
