Postponement of the 38th Kagyu Monlam Chenmo

The 38th Kagyu Monlam Chenmo was scheduled to be held from 21st – 27th January 2021, with pre-Monlam teachings beforehand and Marme Monlam on 28th January 2021.

However, this year, the COVID-19 pandemic has spread across the world, infecting millions of people and taking many lives. It is causing great hardship in many countries and has severely disrupted travel internationally and within individual countries. Given the current situation, it would be both difficult and inadvisable to hold the Kagyu Monlam in Bodhgaya at the scheduled time.

For this reason, the 38th Kagyu Monlam will be postponed until a later date, when it is safe for large groups of people to gather and pray together in person. Details will be announced once the situation becomes clearer. In the meantime, we encourage everyone to pray for the peace and well-being of the world and for the pandemic to come to an end swiftly.
